Showcase your talents!
GeoAlberta invites you to submit your maps to our Map Gallery competition. Maps are displayed throughout the conference then judged by a panel. Winners are announced on the last day of the conference and presented with some fantastic prizes! Winning maps will also be featured on the conference website and all maps submitted will receive a prize (a laminated poster of "Earth by Night").
Award Categories
There are 6 categories for submission with certificates awarded
to first and second place in each category. The categories are:
- Best Cartographic: Use of cartographic techniques in creation
of an intuitive map product.
- Best 3 Dimensional: Use of three dimensions in representation
of spatial data.
- Best Photogrammetric: Use of aerial and/or satellite imagery
in Geomatics.
- Best Poster Style: A combination of maps and other content
to communicate a concept, project, or process.
- Best Analytical: Interpretation of spatial relationships to
extract meaningful results.
- Best non traditional GIS use map: Portrayal of non traditional
geomatics information in a geospatial context.
