Session AbstractIntegrating Web Based GIS Services Using ESRI’s ArcGIS Server Intended for GIS and IT managers who are interested in learning how ArcGIS Server can create and deploy enterprise based applications utilizing WEB based services. WEB based services are the next step in distributed computing. Applications access WEB based services via standard WEB protocols and data formats such as SOAP and HTML. WEB based GIS services provide a platform to integrate mapping, GIS content and capabilities into application on demand. This seminar will discuss and demonstrate underlying technology showing a number of different types of enterprise applications. Speaker BiographyLorne Dmitruk Lorne Dmitruk is a Senior GIS Consultant with 16 years experience working in GIS and digital mapping environments, with a strong background in ESRI products. He has designed and configured many Geodatabases for clients in ESRI Canada’s Prairie region. Technically he has excellent skills in ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcIMS, Oracle and SQL Server. In addition, he is a certified instructor in many ESRI courses including ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcIMS and Geodatabase.Mr. Dmitruk has completed projects for the City of Saskatoon, Alberta Community Development, and the Government of the Northwest Territories among others.
