Business Case Development Workshop - GITA Certified Workshop

The Business Case Development workshop provides GIT managers and practitioners with hands-on training in financial and strategic analysis of GIT investments. Workshop topics include: Fundamentals of Financial Analysis, Cost Estimation, Benefit Estimation, Time Value of Money, Measuring Financial Performance, and Strategic Analysis. The workshop combines traditional lecture with a series of interactive exercises during which participants build complete business cases. Students are encouraged to come prepared with information on GIT projects they are currently planning. No previous training in finance or accounting is necessary.

Speaker Biography

Nancy Lerner

Nancy Lerner is a Vice President with EMA, Inc. She has 19 years of experience as a business process and technology consultant, including work in both the public and private sectors. She has assisted dozens of local governments and utilities and with the implementation of industry best practices and supporting technologies for customer, asset, and work management. Nancy holds an MBA in Information Systems Management and a BA in Economics, both from The University of Texas at Austin. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association and is also a member of AWWA, APWA, WEF, and GITA.
